Privacy Policy
Your data stays on your Mac
WhimPop works entirely on your device. Your clipboard history, snippets, favorites, and all other user data are stored locally. They never leave your Mac and are never transmitted to any server we operate.
No analytics or tracking
The app collects no analytics, usage data, crash reports, or telemetry. There are no third-party tracking SDKs in WhimPop.
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless visitor counter that does not track you across sites or store anything on your device.
What is stored locally
- Clipboard history (text, images, and file copies)
- The snippets, websites, folders, apps, and files you add to the panel
- App preferences (theme, layout, triggers, timer presets, etc.)
- Your license key
Password managers
WhimPop skips clipboard content that comes from password managers, so it is never stored in your history.
Network use
WhimPop makes two kinds of network requests:
- Updates. WhimPop checks for new versions and, when you choose to install one, downloads it. Update checks include only the current version number. No device identifiers, no personal data. You can turn update checks off in the app's settings.
- Favicons. When you create a website shortcut, WhimPop fetches the site's favicon from the site (or a favicon service) so the shortcut shows its real icon.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. When you purchase WhimPop, their privacy policy governs the transaction. We receive only what is necessary to deliver and validate your license.
